You can watch your normal programming through your cable or satellite provider by connecting your cable or satellite box through HDMI or component. If you don't have a cable box or satellite box you would need an external tuner.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The tv itself cannot access regular cable tv, you would need to connect it to a tuner. It uses a program called smartcast, so you can cast from the apps on your phone to the tv. There are some built in apps as well, such as Netflix and Hulu.
