The Vizio M-series received many "best sub-$1,000 for 2017" ratings. I suggest you review C-Net's review online, compare in store , &'then make your own decision.

Please try again later.The Vizio M50-E1 is hands-down a better TV (Specifically, the M series XLED and not some of the other Vizio TV's in that size) compared to any Samsung smaller than 50' or below Samsung's 8 series (You're probably looking at a Samsung 6300 series?). You will get more audio output options and better picture clarity/blacks/motion-handling with the M50-E1 compared to the Samsung. There may also be some issues with certain apps on the Samsung (unless they've finally fixed them). The Samsung 6300 (630) series was actually my 2nd choice after doing a lot of research but it still lacked a few things and had a few issues that made me hold off. When the Vizio M50-E1 came down in price and I found a great deal, I got it and couldn't be more pleased. Truly, worth the extra cost.
