“bought Vizio M50-E1 TV, hooked up to my Vizio SB4551-D5 sound bar. The sound keeps cutting in and out, if musician/music such as a live performance the sound is muffled. Only talking is clear. tried New HDMI cable. Is TV output defective. Frustrated”

Does the same thing occur with other devices hooked up to the sound bar (e.g. phones, tablets, computers)? Another idea might be too try the optical fiber output with a optical cable if that's available on your soundbar.
