• The "AUDIO OUT OPTICAL" port on the back of the TV will support connections known as SPDIF, Digital Optical, and TOSLINK. PCM stands for Pulse Code Modulation and is a method used to convert analog audio to digital audio. When using an optical or HDMI connection, they will use digital audio.
