This TV has built in speakers. For top of the line audio performance you may also look into purchasing a VIZIO Sound Bar, there are several models available with wireless subwoofers for enhanced bass, rear speakers for true surround sound, and our new line of Atmos Sound Bars.

I’m not into loud body rockin bass when watching TV/movies but I had to purchase a soundbar because I couldn’t hear the dialogue clearly. Went with the Bose TV Speaker soundbar which was fantastic until the left speaker blew two months later. Bose was pretty good about it and is sending a brand new unit in two weeks. But until then I’m reminded of how bad the sound is on the factory speakers. Great picture with decent options for a $300/TV if you’re on a budget. With all that being said I would definitely buy this TV again and paired with the Bose TV Speaker it’s a decent bedroom setup for around $500. That little Bose soundbar (while only stereo) really makes dialogue crystal clear and provides decent bass and the option to upgrade to the Bose Bass module… which I don’t feel the need to
