“Take on 55" IPS black levels while viewed in a dark room at night? - during a black scene where there's just maybe some text on the screen - title or captions - can you see light glow all over easily or does the local dimming work really well?”

In regard to the P55 only since it's the only one with an IPS (not VA) panel. There is zero bleed/glow from subtitles. This includes subtitles included in the program prior to turning on subtitles for the hearing impaired or available as SAP. I am comparing it as identical to the plasma we replaced with the P55-CI. The local dimming DOES work very well.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The glow is variable among IPS panels, though not that noticeable for the most part when sitting at a fair distance of 7ft+. I usually sit anywhere from 3-11 ft away depending if I am gaming or watching media. Local dimming is the Vizio P-Series models work beyond really well. Good luck. -Jake
