QuestionIn the new P series Vizio Displays the 55" has In-plane-switching (IPS) panels, whereas the 50", 65", and 75" have vertical alignment (VA) panels.I is my understanding that IPS display is far superior to the quality of the VA. Is this true?

- Answer IPS panels have slightly worse contrast but better viewing angles. So the blacks won't be quite as good, but better viewing if not straight-on. Perhaps some people prefer this trade off?

- Answer I have the P55, when playing an FPS it seems like the display reads your mind. The input lag on HDMI5 is fantastic. The P55 is a great choice despite it being an IPS display. Colors are accurate and blacks are very black. It is a really great TV.

QuestionI heard that the 55" model uses an IPS display which is different from the other sizes. How does this affect picture quality? My main concern is the black levels. does the ips produce deep blacks as well?

- Answer I have the 55 and the blacks on this TV are extremely good. It seems like that portion of the screen is just off completely. They were able to pull this off with an IPS display due to the FALD backlighting.

- Answer It's definitely a smart TV. One uses the Android tablet that comes with the unit or any iOS device to cast streaming apps, like Hulu, to the Vizio.

QuestionCan I use a numatick nail gun and nail TV to,wall? Can't afford pro mounting, don't have no tv table for tv to stand on. I figure theirs gotta be room in the top corners that can be nailed through. Agree?

Questionjust bought the P55-C1 few days ago noticed that when watching netflix the screen will go all gray but still has sound? why and also have it hooked up to a ps4 pro but does not support 4k HDR why?

- Answer I haven't experienced the gray screen from Netflix on my set but I can possibly help you with the PS4 issue. I was having difficulty getting my PS4 Pro to do 4K + HDR while connected to HDMI port #5. After some research it turns out that HDMI port #5 can do 4K but NOT HDR (which would defeat the purpose of using the PS4 Pro). In order to get both 4K AND HDR you'll need to connect your PS4 to the Audio Return Channel (ARC) port which is only on HDMI port #1. You may also have to manually set the PS4 Pro's video settings manually to 4K (instead of leaving it at "automatic"). I hope this helps.

- Answer According to rtings it's the best tv right now for gaming that doesn't cost as much as a car. The input lag is 17.7 MS, most tvs are in the 30s MS, you're average computer monitor is 5MS with gaming monitors being <2ms. So yes this tv is perfect. I'm buying the 55 inch tomorrow!

- Answer Yes. All of the HDMI ports are 2.0. Here are the specifications on each port per Vizio's website: HDMI 1-4 Tech Specs600MHz pixel clock rate: 2160p@60fps, 4:4:4, 8-bit | 2160p@60fps, 4:2:2, 12-bit 2160p@60fps, 4:2:0, 12-bit HDMI 5 Tech Specs370MHz pixel clock rate: 2160p@60fps, 4:2:2, 8-bit | 2160p@60fps, 4:2:0, 10-bit 1080p@120fps, 4:4:4, 10-bit | 1080p@120fps, 4:2:2, 12-bit I believe HDMI 5 is slightly different because it it is intended to be used with game consoles and allows for a faster response time.

- Answer In regard to the P55 only since it's the only one with an IPS (not VA) panel. There is zero bleed/glow from subtitles. This includes subtitles included in the program prior to turning on subtitles for the hearing impaired or available as SAP. I am comparing it as identical to the plasma we replaced with the P55-CI. The local dimming DOES work very well.

- Answer This tv does have google cast and it DOES stream in 4k. Chromecast only lets you output in 1080p but this is Google cast specifically designed for this tv the tablet just tells the tv where to go to get the source. I have this tv and have watched 4k in HDR on netflix

QuestionIf I am on an input for say my xbox and I decide to cast to the TV from my phone, does it automatically switch to the casted content without having to change any inputs or navigate any menus and then when I am done casting it reverts back to my xbox?

- Answer Thank you for inquiring about our product. When you go to cast to this display, it will automatically change to the casted content. When you are finished, it will stay on the Cast input to be ready for other content. You would need to manually change your input. Thanks again and have a great day.

Questionhow does this tv process 720p ripped video content from bluray?

- Answer Some reviewers may say that it doesn't upscale 480 and 720P, but I think it does a great job with 720P at least. I've been watching a lot of HULU which broadcasts only 720P. It's not as good as Netflix which broadcasts many items in 1080P depending on connection, but still good.
