The 2015 Vizio M-series TVs are their latest 4K TVs. The 2014 P-series TVs were last years 4K TVs. Their prices are very similar but the 2015 M-series TVs have better motion interpolation settings and more detail when upscaling 1080p content. I have both the 2014 P-series and a new 2015 M-series. I prefer the 2015 M-series if the prices are the same.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From what I've read the P line will no longer be made. With a couple of exceptions most of the features of the existing ( 2014 P) has been included in the 2015 4K M model. The M has fewer dim-able LED zones then the P had. At least in the 55" size. From what I've read and see on my TV this make little difference in the picture. Blacks are good, but not perfect. If you must have almost perfect blacks the OLED's screens are the best and cost about 3-5 times what this TV costs. Also the 2014 P model's used a different display technology on the 55" version. This allowed for a wider viewing angle. The viewing angle on my 2015 M 55" is good, much better than I was expecting and plenty good for my living room.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The technology in the M- Series is updated which means a new processor and better image processing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The M series is Visio's new budget line which offers better quality to the other 2 budget lines they have the E and D series. The P series is due to either be discontinued or relaunched but to my knowledge the quality difference between the current P series and the current M series is very small due to the use of pretty much all the same parts. If you can get a P of the same size for the same price as the M, I would say go with the P but the differences is not that big so I don't see paying more for the same size P being the better deal.
