• I'm slightly deaf myself, and I didn't notice the sound being bad. I am considering a soundbar for enhanced quality; not because the sound is bad.

• This is my first Visio purchase so I don't know how the sound was in the past. I would call it average. I'm going to add a sound bar.

• The sound is improved about 70% and it also depends on the programming you are running. Some programming have better sounds than oders. If you plan to use it for lots of action movie watching, then I would say it needs some work but for all others are good
