This television will work with a Spectrum cable source or device. However, there is not currently a Spectrum application available on the SmartCast input. We are continually evaluating new applications for addition to the SmartCast screen. In the meantime, you can cast any Chromecast enabled applications to the television from your mobile device.

I think that’s what you’re referring to by “download Spectrum”? It has plenty of HDMI ports and a coax plugin so if you’re using a set top box it should work fine. I stream my cable from DTV Now, as I dropped Spectrum last year, before I got this tv. But there’s nothing on this one that would make me think you can’t watch your cable tv, one way or another.
