Will this tv connect to my Direct TV via coax cable? null

It will but that is not the way you want to go. I am a former DirecTV user and I know for a fact that all of the DirecTV equipment has HDMI out. That is the way that you want to go so that you can get HD. That is what you paid for,

This display does not have a coaxial port or internal tuner. you would need to connect through HDMI or component cables.
