You may need to calibrate the picture settings to your liking. Vizio offers several built-in picture modes in the picture settings menu, as well as the option to calibrate the settings directly. There are many online tutorials which describe proper calibration for the tv, and vizio provides built-in calibration patterns in the onboard virtual user manual. The problem also may be with the content you are watching. Colorful, High resolution HDR content will look better than SDR content. TV through a cable box usually isn’t HDR or 4K. If you’re watching on Netflix or a similar streaming platform, look for HDR or Dolby Vision in the video description.
