Amount of HDMI ports and lack of HDR on the cheaper model.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was wondering the same thing. Here is the answer. The specs are nearly identical. However, the E65-E1 is a bigger tv. It is not ADA compliant to be hung on the wall unless you have a 1/2" thick bracket. The E65u-D3 is a touch smaller. The ADA requirement only comes into play if the TV is mounted in a walk way with nothing under it. IN our case it is always mounted directly in a walk way. Also the Vesa mount is slightly lower in the back of the TV on the E1 then on the D3. I only noticed this because i had an D3 that was defective. I removed it from the wall and replaced with an E1 and it was nolonger mounted correctly. the E1 was 1 1/2" lower on the wall then the D3 because the Vesa mounting is located differently Otherwise i do not see a technical picture difference.
