Each manufacturer calls their TVs motion handling capability something different, and many don't even mention the term "refresh rate" or use "Hz" at all. Vizio often uses Effective Refresh Rate and it doubles the native refresh rate (which is the true number you want for comparison). On this model it is referred to as "Clear Action" number, which is triple the ERR (and so 6x the native refresh rate or 720/6 for 120Hz). So after translating all this, the Native (true) refresh rate of this TV is 120Hz. Phew! Great article on CNET about all the manufacturers measurements.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.720 refers to the perceived refresh rate, not resolution. Most TVs now have an actual refresh rate of 120 or so, but software is used to increase the perceived rate. If you google "TV refresh rate" you should be able to find further explanations.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This television has a 240Hz effective refresh rate.
