  • Q: i know there is 5 HDMI ports on this model are they 2.0,2.0a ,2.2,1.4 ??????  (5 Answers)

    By naz

    • Best answerOfficially, all ports are HDMI 2.0. Important things to know is HDMI 2.0a added HDR playback, specifically HDR10 and HDMI 2.0b added HLG which is an HDR format you see with YouTube. The P65-F1 would support all these HDR formats. So it would unofficially be up to HDMI 2.0b but specs will show HDMI 2.0. HDCP is another important factor and would be HDCP 2.2 on all HDMI ports. There are no HDMI 1.4 ports on this but you can easily connect a normal Blu-Ray that was designed to work with HDMI 1.4. Further, some 4K HDR devices will allow you adjust chroma. Here are the official HDMI specs for the P65-F1. HCDP 2.2, HDMI v2.0 600MHz pixel clock rate: 2160p@60fps, 4:4:4, 8-bit 2160p@60fps, 4:2:2, 12-bit 2160p@60fps, 4:2:0, 12-bit

    • Best answerVivid is the WORST possible picture mode for your tv, in fact it only exist to sell the tv by competing with the lights on the showroom floor, by maxing out most of the color, brightness and contrast settings to ridiculous extremes. Whites are not supposed to be bluish and the reason your blacks are too black, is because the Vivid mode is crushing them and destroying detail in the pic along the way. The best pic modes for this tv or any for that matter are calibrated and calibrated dark, with on this tv, the "normal" color temp (which is the closest to 6500k color temp, which most movies and tv shows are produced at), and which out of the box are pretty accurate. If your worried about video games, use the tv's "Game" picture setting with "normal" color temp and adjust to your liking from there. That being said, even though I'm a certified display calibrator for at least 10 years and have calibrated hundreds if not thousands of consumer and professional displays, don't take it from me, do your research on proper tv calibration.

    • Best answerHDMI 1 through 4 are 4K HDR capable ports. HDMI 5 is a low latency port designed for gaming that is capable of 1080p@120 Hz, this port however does not support HDR.

  • Q: Has anyone tried gaming on this system, particularly with a PS4 Pro? If so, what were the results?  (6 Answers)

    • Best answerMy guy, gaming with this TV has been a real treat for me. God of War is out of this world. It really does shine with the HDR enabled. I haven't noticed any lag or flickering. So it's safe to say gaming on this is worth the upgrade if you're looking into that. I have the PS4 Pro, Xbox One S and an Alienware Alpha connected to it. Thanks.

    • Best answerThe 100 zones works great, this tv is better than the tcl 6 series. P has 10 bit panel, wide color gamet 1000 nits of brightness and a 120hz native panel that beind said it also cost more than the 6 series. If any of those things matter to you spend the extra cash on the Vizio.

    By dt

    • Best answerYou cannot add applications onto the SmartCast input that are not preinstalled. We are continuously evaluating more applications for placement on this input. In the meantime any of the thousands of Chromecast applications can be casted to the TV.

  • Q: meaning, is it a fixed width or are there slots to bring in slightly?  (5 Answers)

    By Legs

    • Best answerIt's a fixed width. Table width would need to be at least 50.87 inches to accommodate the stand/legs. It has no further adjustments that can be made but a universal stand would be an alternative option that would connect to the 400mm x 400mm VESA pattern and narrow it down some.
