Q: QuestionDoes the 2018 P-Series have pwm flicker? If so at what Hz?
Asked by flacattack.
- A:Answer PWM flicker is only enabled on some picture modes and can be turned on or off. We refer to this as the "Clear Action" feature in the picture settings. This TV's Clear Action rating is 720

Q: QuestionDoes the 720 clear action means it only does motion clearing up to 720p, and if not why the number 720? If it's a rating what is the rating scale from 0 to whatever look like?
Asked by Dirt85.
- A:Answer Each manufacturer calls their TVs motion handling capability something different, and many don't even mention the term "refresh rate" or use "Hz" at all. Vizio often uses Effective Refresh Rate and it doubles the native refresh rate (which is the true number you want for comparison). On this model it is referred to as "Clear Action" number, which is triple the ERR (and so 6x the native refresh rate or 720/6 for 120Hz). So after translating all this, the Native (true) refresh rate of this TV is 120Hz. Phew! Great article on CNET about all the manufacturers measurements.
