Both seem to work for me, if you use he YouTube app it can be displayed with 4k with hdr.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can cast 4K content on Youtube from a mobile device and it will show in 4K on our SmartCast TV's and Display's but the built-in app is not able to play 4K content at this time.

If you look to rent or purchase a 4K/UHD title from Google Play it would have an advisement that it would only work with their Ultra Chromecast device. I'm not sure what possible proprietary things are in place or if it's Google cast shell related in why it can't cast in 4K to the Vizio. Other services, like Vudu for example would cast in 4K/UHD and what HDR version that particular title supports (HDR10 or Dolby Vision) that you can redeem a movie or purchase a digital copy of a movie.
