Dolby Atmos requires up firing speakers, or other technology to simulate overheard audio. Since the TV only has the 2 standard speakers contained in most TV, it won't be able to play Atmos Audio. If you're source is sending Atmos audio- the TV will down mix it to play through it's speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dolby Atmos requires reflecting sounds waves off of a ceiling surface or overhead speakers installed. It is impossible for any TV to actually have Dolby Atmos come from the TV frame unless there is some sort of upward-firing speakers mounted somewhere, which would make the TV's design rather awkward.

Therefore, if your playing apps from your TV (e.g., Netflix) even when u have your Dolby Atmos soundbar attached. It won't play Dolby Atmos for movies and TV shows using eARC.
