You can connect your echo dot through Bluetooth which allows all audio from the echo dot to the sound bar. To have this constant you would need to turn off energy saver/eco mode to prevent the sound bar from powering off automatically. If it is connected to the TV as well, you would need to switch between bluetooth and the input the TV is connected to. Doing that you may have to reconnect the echo dot each time you do this.
