Thank you for a great question! This soundbar is different in that it supports our new SmartCast platform where you can pair it with your smartphone or tablet to control. You can also Cast content to your soundbar from your smartphone or tablet with any Google Cast Audio compatible apps. In addition, this sound bar has a slim subwoofer that you can either place underneath your couch or standing next to it for maximum flexibility! Thanks again and have a great day! -Collin
