“Is the Roku Voice Remote Pro preprogrammed to work with my Roku 3 player straight out of the box? I hope so because the volume control on my old Roku remote can only turn up the sound, not down, so pairing the old remote with a new one is not possible.”

Hi BoulderHiker! To set up your Roku voice remote pro, it must be connected to your Roku streaming player through a wireless discovery process known as pairing. To pair your Roku voice remote pro you can manually initiate the process with a press and hold of the pairing button until the status light begins to flash. The pairing button and status light are located on the back of the Roku Voice Remote Pro.

Create an account and log in and "CHAT" online.....I have had mixed results with the online tech agents.....Try google-ing the problem...when all else fails ...spend 69$ on a new setup.
