• i have to use the soundbar remote for the soundbar. remote will turn tv on and off.

• The remote will control your TV, the TV will give you some options for the sound system. All this stuff will work if the LG is a smart TV newer model probably last 3-4 years.

• It really doesn't matter what tv you are viewing. If your Roku is correctly plugged into the port indicated, you should enjoy your device right away. I have found that by doing this, you will make your older tv so much better and clearer. Nothing lasts forever, but it sure beats going out and buying a new HDMI just to watch anything.
