the remote battery time depends on how much you use the remote, not how long the tv is on. If you use earphones 14 hrs a day, it will last a week. Charging time is a few hours but you will be notified (on screen) when power is low and you can still use the remote while charging. An LED on the remote flashes while charging.. so you know when it's done

I bought a pro for my aunt, so she could listen with headphones. She watches tv all day and into the night, and It's been running the battery down every 4 days! It takes around 4 hours to recharge, but she only watches cable, and uses the xfinity remote to change channels, and waits until the pro is recharged to pick up her headphones again.
