It’s does collect dust, I found best way to clean easily is with air compressor.

According to the instructions you will need tools: screwdriver and pliers for the removal of the grill (face) and blades. The back of the fan will also require cleaning for better airflow. The grill (face) and blades on an older Vornado version was able to conveniently be removed for cleaning without tools.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This problem was one of my criticisms of this fan in my review. The grill is not removable, so you can only clean it by finding brushes that will fit through the small grill holes. I plan to use this fan for one season and then get rid of it.
