- Answer I wouldn't recommend it as it is designed to fit inside the window itself. The profile is very slom and doesn't reduce windowsill space much if at all.

- Answer The Transom Window Fan is designed for horizontal installation only. Using it in the vertical orientation will put a strain on the motor and could affect the output and longevity.

- Answer There is no filter but it is designed so that you keep your window screen down while its installed so it will only be able to blow in what makes it past the window screen
