• Yes, the base beeps when you have a message and you can adjust the sound higher or lower.

• Hi - Yes, the VTech IS8151-4 has a message alert tone feature. The telephone base will beep every 10 seconds when there is at least 1 new message recorded on the built in answering machine. Thank you, -VTech Support
