“Can you hear a message as it is being left on the answering machine from the handsets? Can you then answer the call, as they are leaving the message? (My present phone system allows that and its very useful for #'s I don't recognize, but want to talk to.)”

Hi - Yes, you can screen the call using the cordless handset by pressing the screen softkey and you can intercept the call by pressing the home button on the VTech IS8151-4. Thank you! - VTech Support
