• Yes, it can easily be mounted on the wall. Use the flat piece that came with it. It attaches to the wall with two screws (not provided) and the base unit slides on to it. It's actually the same base as on my old V techs (which I hated to replace!).

• I did not read nor see any illustrations or instructions indicating the base could be mounted. A small mounting piece was included, but not to mount the base,
