I think you are referring to the top of the phone which houses a light that goes on when a call comes in the is NOT in your phone book. There is no ring so you do not hear that call but you do see that it is there by the light. The system that checks for spam calls is working and is in the process of asking the caller for their name to be given to you, If you want that call to come through, you can pick up. If not, the call is dismissed without ever actually having a ring come through to bother you. Hope this helped.
