“Does the answering system on this phone record incoming messages?”

• Yes this does record incoming messages. The drawback to this system is the maximum number of rings before the answering machine takes over is 4rings. If you are older than 60 and the phone is not near you, you ONLY HAVE 4 RINGS to answer it, then it goes into the answering machine. Any other system I have previously owned you could set it to 7 or more rings befire the answering machine kicked in.
