• Hi - Yes, the messages recorded on the VTech IS8181-5 can be accessed remotely. You simply need to dial your home phone number using any touch tone phone. Dial your remote access code once the answering machine pick up(check the manual for the code). The answering machine will playback new messages followed by old messages. Thank you, -VTech Support
