“Instructions say parent monitor will dim after 10 mins of inactivity. My monitor goes completely black with no sound after about 1 minute. Is there a setting I can change or is everyone’s monitor like this?”

• Hi - The VTech VM5254 has a sound-activated screen and audio feature. When this feature is on, the parent unit screen switch off after 50 seconds when no sound is detected from the baby unit. Once the baby unit detects loud sound, the parent unit screen and speakerphone switch on automatically. You can also adjust the VOX sensitivity.
