“Is there a way to keep the answering machine turned on without having the default announcement come through the speaker? None of the volume adjustments allow this. I can turn off the ringer volume to zero but the default announcement is still heard.”

Hello - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the answering machine of the VTech CM18445. You can turn off the call screening feature for the system not to broadcast the incoming messages and announcement through the speakerphone. Thank you, -VTech Support
