• No, this model does not have the answering machine option. We did not want that feature for our use.

• Hi - The VTech CS5119-2 does not have a built in answering machine. If you are interested with a unit that has a built in answering machine, you may check the mode VTech CS5129-2. Thank you, -VTech Support
