Yes. That's what we did. There are instructions to integrate it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to BestBuy webpage: "Expansion handset and charger. For use with VTech CS6719, CS6729, CS6759, CS6829 or CS6859 base stations (not included). Will not function as a stand-alone phone." You have to "link" the handset as Handset 2. If you already have one, you have to 'unlink' the old one first. (I don't have the instructions with me, and I don't recall the exact term for 'linking' it, but I recall the above.)
