I like the phone because it was easy to set up, all I had to do was plug it into an electrical outlet. It is nice and slim and lightweight. The only downside is there is no flashing light indicator to let you know there are voice mail messages. You have to look at the LCD display to see if it says "voice mail". My last phone which was 10 years old, had the flashing light signal when there was a voice mail message. I just assumed this one also had it since it is ten years newer. Other than that I would recommend the phone.

I already had the base and since switching over to Majic Jack needed handsets that do not require additional phone lines in the home. This "speaks" to the phone connected to Majic Jack from anywhere in the house. I plan on buying a few more -- one for each room. However I live in a single level home and don't know whether it works in homes that have several stories. It is very easy to set up and use -- works out of the box.

If you need a cordless phone, this is the one. Price is good. I needed to replace one unit since it was lost. We have had the main system for at least four years and have not needed to replace battery. You can take the unit about two hundred feet from base before it looses the signal. Hopefully this unit will last like the the original one does.

It is a phone... It work well and the volume is good, sound quality is great, loud or soft ringer (can be set) has many features like time, date, calls, intercom etc. I bought this phone as an add-on and the reason I bought it was a great price and a phone in every room!

Pretty normal phone to extend your system. Easy setup. Only thing to be aware of is that it doesn't have a slot for a headset.

These are great expansion phones with a lot of features and tremendous range. It was so easy to sync with the the base phone/answering machine. All I had to do was set the each expansion phone into the charging cradle of the base phone/answering machine and wait approximately 10 seconds. I am very impressed with this VTech cordless phone system!

Easy to sync it to my existing phone base station. Waaay cheaper than buying a whole new set of phones w/answering machine! One of my old handsets got dropped one time too many and I needed just one replacement handset. Make sure to check the VTech web site and find out which replacement handset will sink up with your base station. I have two types. Older have rounded edges and newer have more squared up edges. Different charging bases also. The types are not compatible.

This is a great telephone.Connected easily to the base that I already owned. Perfect for the home that doesn't have many phone jacks. I ordered 2 of them. Setting them up could not be easier. Best Buy had the best price. I got 2 for the price that walmart was charging for 1.

Compatible with my current phone system as an expansion . It was brought as an extra handset for the phone system that was brought by my daughter. And it works perfectly. Had to order it since the expansion handsets are not sold in the stores.

We upgraded from an older V Tech landline phone and are satisfied with the new phone. We have 3 handsets and you can check for messages on all the handsets, not just the main unit.

I needed an extra phone for an existing system. This phone was very easy to add on and works great.

I bought several of these phones and have been very pleased with them. Good sound quality, and good construction. Be sure and buy some extra batteries. When paired with a base unit, you can have phones in every room of the house without wiring.

These phones are great. I now have a total of 4 and love them. Lots of information is available through them & they're so easy to use.

Bought this as a 3rd phone. Instructions were easy to sync phone with the other 2 phones. Phone is operating great. Clear as a bell.

As with the my phone system I bought this expansion hand set connected great and sound is crystal clear!

The CS6709 is an excellent handset with lots of features. It is also compatible with most of the latter phones models. Only thing to remember..it is just a handset so you will need a primary phone to connect with.

a beautiful phone, however it was to be a replacement phone and it did not fit my phone base. so i twas returned.

The phone works great. An excellent value. Land line phones are getting harder to find. Glad you have them.

This particular phone is an add-on for other base models. I have to say, I don't know if I would want a different phone system. This was easy to add to my existing base and the particularly neat part is that it copied all of the Phone Book contacts I had in the original phone to the second handset. Now we don't have to run up and down the stairs to answer the phone - it's exactly where we need it at all times.

This phone was easy to register and expand our current home phone setup.
