QuestionI just bought this and put it directly into the base model and it showed it was registering, but after a couple of minutes there was no beep and it showed “to register HS... ...see manual” again. I have a CS6859 base. I tried this several times too.

- Answer I have read the manual and it should work with your CS6859 but I had to buy at CS67 series to actually make it work

- Answer If it is an extension of another phone just take the new one and set it on the base of the main phone. It will update everything to the new phone. It sets the time, date, and all of the contacts in your main phone. I don't remember how long I left it setting on the main base, but it wasn't a real long time, I do remember that.
