• Yes, press ANS ON/OFF button to turn the built-in answering system on or off. When the answering system is turned off, it announces, “Calls will not be answered.”

• Yes, that's what I have done. However, it will then just continuously ring for the caller if there is no answering machine. It will never stop until they hang up!

• Yes,indeed you can disable the default voice mail in you cordless phone just take the batteries out wait 10 seconds ,put them back ,go to menu and check if you still have a welcome message ,if the machine ask you to set one just leave it without any mesage
