Does this phone work during a power outage? null

Yes, the base station will continue to work assuming you have a true landline. If you have an internet phone or a phone from your cable company, and their modem goes off due to a power outage, then your phone will also go off. The remote handset will not work from a popwer outage because it cannot communicate with the base station
