Hi - We are sorry if you are having issues with your VTech DS6151. "Line in Use" will appear on your handset display on two occasions: a. If there's another phone or an extension phone is off-hook. b. If there's a temporary fluctuation on the line voltage. We recommend that you contact our Customer Support at 1-800-595-9511 for warranty options. We are open from Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Thank you! ~VTech Support
