“Will the answering machine work without a land line? I would like for the answering machine to record messages left on my cell phone.”

• I use Ooma for our landlady service; works well with Ooma. I think you need a landlines for the answering machine, my cell phone receives voice mails for calls made to my cell #.

• This system can be used without a landline and features Bluetooth technology that allows you to pair your mobile phone with a landline, make and receive mobile calls, store mobile contacts and alert you to mobile voicemails, but the voicemail service must be provided by your cellular carrier. It does not record the voicemails from your mobile phone.
