“I am having problems trying to setup the camera system using a public WiFi in a hospital setting where we cannot control the router settings. Also tried configure the system using a hotspot and continue to succeed in configuring the camera.”

Hi - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues setting up the VTech RM5752. This baby monitor won't work on 5.8GHz WiFi. Most routers are dual band which also operates on a 2.4ghz band.
