“is this pen compatible with the later model cintiq, the cintiq pro 13 (DTH-1320)? my cintiq will recognize the older pen of the intuos small (pth-451). and also the wacom pen classic, both older pens meant for different tablets.”

No, this unit is not compatible with prior Intuos, Intuos 3, 4, 5, Intuos Pro tablets or Cintiq products.
