“I am a teacher. I'd like to use this to mark up and write notes on PDF documents. Is this possible on this tablet?”

Yes -- with the right software. The tablet works as another input device for your computer. The included software doesn't have a PDF annotator, but you can get one somewhere else. I am using the tablet to do this as a professor, and it works well for me, after overcoming the initial learning curve (it's hard to write/draw at first).

YES YOU CAN , I USUALLY JUST USE IT TO MAKE SCROLL SAW PATTERNS WITH CORELDRAW , SO I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL NOW , I GOT IT OUT AND TRIED IT OUT AND YOU CAN HIGHLIGHT EDIT AND PUT NOTES WHERE EVER YOU WANT , HOPE THAT HELPS YOU OUT !
