There is one cutout in each of the cabinet sections for a total of two. They are located at the every top of the shelving backing. So wires are at an upward angle. I only have a DVR on one side and a gaming console on the other. The only devices in the cabinet as other's would not fit, as the were too deep for the shelves therefore cabinet doors would not close. I assumed all tv related devices would fit into a tv cabinet. I should have measured all devices my fault. Its a depth issue, not width or height . I hope this answers your question.
