“Are you required to install the doors for this to be a functional unit? Or are we able to leave the middle doors uninstalled to have open shelves in the middle? I like the size of this one over the 60" version but hate the doors on this one.”

Hi Kale, It's possible to use this without the doors. Please be aware that the holes for the door hinges are pre-drilled so those will be exposed.
