“In reading the questions for this items...all of which were very helpful, if the right and left side compartment shelves are 17 5/8" deep, how can the center shelving be only 15 1/8 " deep?...my equipment needs a minimum 16 1/2 " depth.”

Hi Pete, Great question and sorry for any confusion. The depth of the entire console is 17 7/8", including any overhang on the top piece. The shelves are all listed at 15 1/8" deep. You can see in the main image that the shelves stop just short of the front of the console. There is a little bit of extra space beyond the shelf. But likely not enough for 16.5", or else the doors will not be able to fully close in the middle section. Let us know if you have any other questions.
