Because the panel charges the battery, live feed works great. The panel allows for full functionality of the camera. We’ve only had our solar panel for a short while but haven’t experienced any issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will hold the charge of the camera indefinitely, and you can view live, but....it will not allow for 24/7 continuous recording as if it were plugged in. I read otherwise and bought it with this intention. After I connected the panel, I learned about this limitation. If you want 24/7 continuous recording, you cannot use this solar panel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Wasserstein Solar Panel for Google Nest Cam (Battery) is designed to keep the camera's battery charged using solar power. It does not directly provide a live view on the camera like a power cable connection would. The solar panel continuously charges the camera's battery, allowing it to operate without relying solely on the battery power. The camera will still function normally, including live view and recording, but its power source will be supplemented by the solar panel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, acts as if plugged in
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will allow live view to work. The camera thinks it plugged into a power source.
