“The unit makes a lot of noise when using the water flosser, is this normal? Sounds like it is vibrating from pumping the water from the water tank, then makes the base hit the counter. Like a mini jack hammer.”

That's how mine works! It's loud but it's creating a lot of pressurized water to remove extra gunk between the teeth. Provides wonderful results
