“The gravity hose does not reach our drain. How do I set it up to pump with the longer hose, into our drain. Do i cut the plastic tip off the nozzle to put the hose on the pump end? I do npot see a button on the control panel for the pump. IS it automatic?”

Please do not cut any part of the unit! To set up the pump drainage and reach your drain with the longer hose, please follow these steps: Switch Hoses: Replace the short gravity hose with the 236.22-inch (approx. 20 ft) pump drain hose provided. This longer hose is specifically designed for the pump outlet. Activate the Pump: You can activate the pump function by pressing and holding the Power button for 5 seconds. You should see an indicator light once it's engaged. Automatic Operation: Once activated, the pump will automatically discharge water once the internal reservoir reaches a certain level, allowing it to pump vertically or over long distances. Gravity Alternative: If you prefer to stay with gravity drainage but the standard 78.74-inch hose is too short, you can simply use a garden hose adapter to connect any standard long garden hose to the gravity port. This setup ensures the unit drains safely and efficiently without damaging the machine.
